Irish Night 2024
On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Whitman Knights of Columbus hosted another successful, well-attended Irish Night featuring live music from the Silver Spears and Irish Step Dancing from the Haley School of Irish Dance. A great time was had by all!
St. Patrick’s Day Parade (2024)
The Whitman Knights of Columbus (Council 347) was honored to participate in the annual Abington St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Whitman-Hanson Football Awards Banquet
On Sunday, January 21, 2024, the Whitman Knights of Columbus hosted the Whitman-Hanson Football awards dinner including the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Senior teams with over 160 in attendance, including parents of the players.
Christmas Party 2023

50th Anniversary Turkey Dinner for Seniors (1973-2023)
On November 18th, the Whitman Knights of Columbus hosted its 50th Turkey Dinner for Seniors! The Whitman Knights of Columbus is a non-profit organization that serves as a community function center. The Turkey Dinner has been a yearly tradition since 1973 for fifty straight years. Every single year, the Whitman-Hanson Football team shows up to help serve the meals, giving them a chance to meet the seniors in the community. In addition, the Whitman Police also helped with serving meals. Overall, this was another successful event hosted by the Knights of Columbus that brought everyone in the community together!
Whitman Fire/Rescue Memorial Breakfast
On Sunday, June 4th, the Whitman Knights of Columbus Council 347 donated and served our local Fire Department a full breakfast at the fire station.
For the past 20 years, this has been an annual tradition. It's also a time when the Whitman Fire Department remembers all deceased members by placing a memorial brick in their name (for those that died in the past year) next to the fire station. Whitman Fire / Rescue.
Memorial Day 2023
On this Memorial Day, the Whitman Knights of Columbus Council 347 remembers and honors all the brave men and women and their families who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 This monument is in the front of the building.
We pray for those who courageously laid down their lives for the cause of freedom. May the examples of their sacrifice inspire in us the selfless love of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Bless the families of our fallen troops, and fill their homes and their lives with Your strength and peace. Amen.
Honoring the Unborn 2023
In loving memory of all the unborn children known only to God. the Whitman Knights of Columbus Council #347 and the Ladies of Peace, honored the unborn at St. James Cemetery in a private service today (Memorial Day, May 29th, 2023).
In the priests’ section is a marker, donated by the Knights of Columbus (Cardinal Spellman Council #347), Whitman, in prayerful remembrance of the unborn.
Irish Night 2023
A good time was had by all at the March 24, 2023 Irish Night. The crowd enjoyed live music by the Silver Spears and lively Irish Step Dancing by the Haley School of Irish Dance. The “Luck of the Irish” was with several of the lucky raffle winners! Thank you to all who joined us for another fun evening at the Whitman Knights of Columbus, Council 347!

48th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors 2022
48th annual Whitman Knights of Columbus Senior Dinner on November 19th, 2022. Due to a great team effort by all, we were honored to serve 300+ meals, including all the volunteers ( Whitman Hanson football players, Whitman Police officers who volunteered to help serve meals, and our own volunteers).
The Whitman Knights of Columbus would like to thank Chief of Police, Tim Hanlon, Deputy Chief, Joe Bombardier and Officer John Cannizzo.
We are most grateful to Mary Holland, Director for the Council on Aging, plus all the brother Knights, Ladies of Peace, and friends of the Council who helped make this a great day for the seniors!
