Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party

The “Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Festivities began following the installation ceremony. There was live music from the Silver Spears and lively entertainment from Maureen Healy’s Irish Step Dancers. 20th Anniversary of 9-11 Remembrance
On Saturday, September 11th, Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 347 raised the flag and held a brief ceremony in honor of all those brave men and women who lost their lives, were injured, or served as First Responders during the horrific tragedy on September 11, 2001.
External Cleaning Day at the KofC
On July 17th, 2021, the Whitman Knights of Columbus, Council 347 was most grateful to the 12 volunteers who worked tirelessly all day on a work detail. A tremendous amount was accomplished to spruce up the exterior of the building: Cleaning, sweeping, landscaping, and painting. A huge thank you to each and every one of the devoted, selfless, hardworking members and volunteers who made a huge difference.
Independence Day
The Whitman Knights of Columbus Council #347 are proud to fly the giant American flag on Fourth of July, Memorial Day, and Veteran’s Day. We are grateful to all who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. God bless America!

Honoring the Whitman, MA Fire/Rescue Heroes
The Whitman, MA Council #347 Knights of Columbus were honored to serve breakfast to the Whitman Fire / Rescue on June 6, 2021, at their annual salute to their fallen firefighters.
More than 50 firefighters (retired and current) and their families attended.
The Whitman Selectmen; MA State Representative, Alyson M. Sullivan; and MA State Senator, Michael D. Brady were also in attendance to pay tribute to these courageous heroes.
Memorial Day
The Whitman Knights of Columbus Council #347 and the Ladies of Peace remembered and honored all the brave men and women and their families who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom on Memorial Day.
Honoring the Unborn
In loving memory of all the unborn children known only to God. the Whitman Knights of Columbus Council #347 and the Ladies of Peace, honored the unborn at St. James Cemetery in a private service on Memorial Day.
In the priests’ section is a marker, donated by the Knights of Columbus (Cardinal Spellman Council #347), Whitman, in prayerful remembrance of the unborn.
Vaccination Center for 800 Seniors
During the months of March and April 2021, the Knights of Columbus Function Hall in Whitman, MA became a local COVID-19 Vaccination Center for Seniors Citizens on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Even the kitchen was transformed into a temporary vaccination station. A total of 800 senior citizens were vaccinated at the Whitman Knights of Columbus - Council 347.
Thanksgiving Meals for Seniors
Due to the pandemic, the Knights of Columbus Whitman—Council #347 partnered with the Whitman Police Department to deliver homemade Turkey Dinners directly to the Seniors’ homes this year. This is the 47th consecutive year that the Knights have carried on this beloved Thanksgiving tradition of serving free Thanksgiving dinners to the Whitman area Senior citizens.
In past years, when the Hall was open, we served an average of 460 meals to Seniors, servers, volunteers, and staff.
The Whitman Police Department posted the following on their Facebook page (11/21/20)
“Today the Whitman Knights of Columbus hosted their annual Thanksgiving meals for seniors. A tradition that they have continued for the past 47 consecutive years!
This year, due to Covid-19, they were not able to have everyone at the hall so we offered to deliver the 135 meals to the seniors.
The Knights of Columbus and all of their dedicated & selfless volunteers do a fantastic job with this event every year. They do so much for our community with little recognition. We can’t thank them enough for all that they do. It’s always a privilege to participate in this meaningful tradition.”
